FAQ

Why do I need to fill out a Health History form?

Registered Massage Therapists in Ontario are required by the CMTO to have a written Health History Form with a valid consent. All completed forms are kept private and kept on file.

What is a Sensitive Areas form?

Registered Massage Therapists in Ontario are required to discuss and obtain consent for certain sensitive areas that may be indicated to work on during a massage above and beyond the usual consent to treat. Those would be the gluteus area, upper chest/pectoral regain and the inner thigh. When your therapist is discussing the treatment with you he or she may discuss working on these parts of the body in order to achieve results based on your Health History Form and treatment ideas. You are under no obligation to say yes but if you do they require consent. If you have any further questions please ask me to explain further.

Do I receive an insurance receipt?

Upon completion of the massage service your therapist will issue you a receipt that you can use for tax purposes or your extended health care benefit provider.

What should I expect once my Karla arrives at my home/office?

Karla will discuss with you briefly about where the best place in your home is to set up. Once she is set up she will go over the details of your health history and recommend an outline of what she will work on during the massage. These will be based on any health concerns or areas of focus they need to concentrate time on. Karla will also obtain consent to treat what was discussed. Before she starts she will set the up the area to create a conducive and relaxing environment with soft music. She will explain how to get onto the table, how you will be draped during the massage and excuse herself to wash her hands prior to commencement of the massage. During the treatment Karla will check in with you about pressure to ensure you are happy with the massage. At the end she will leave the room to wash hervhands and allow you time to get off the table. After the massage she will recommend home care options for you based on their findings and issue you a receipt. Then you can just relax in the privacy of your own home!

Why do I need an ID?

Karla is registered and insured. She has reference checks, a practical exam and a police check.  For the safety of  going to a person's home/office Karla requires all customers to verify their ID before booking their first massage.

What is the cancellation policy?

You may cancel you massage 24 hours before your scheduled massage and there will not be a charge. The full amount of your massage service will be charged within the 24 hour period of your booking. This is done because Karla could have filled that spot with another client if given sufficient notice and  now she has been left with a possible large booking space.

Do I need to supply anything?

Just yourself and a space. We bring all the equipment to you.

How is parking handled?

If Karla is required to pay out of her pocket for parking in order to deliver your massage the parking amount that was issued will be added to your bill after the service. She will let you know as well if they had to pay for parking when they arrive. I will always do my best to find free parking or street parking at every visit.

Do you offer corporate or event bookings?
